All ten Pinkie Promise secrets, where to trigger each one, which ones are missable, and why the hidden endings people search for do not exist.
Pinkie Promise Secrets and Hidden Endings: All 10 Interactions and What They Really Do
Search results for "Pinkie Promise hidden ending" mostly point at badge names. That is the root of the confusion: the game tracks a lot of unusual behaviour, and every tracked behaviour is displayed as a badge, which makes a death or a prank look like an alternate ending. Chapter 1 has one story ending. What it also has is ten secrets, one completion badge and a handful of states that people mistake for endings.
This page separates the three. If you only want the checklist, the table below is the whole hunt; if you want to know why "true ending" videos are mislabeled, the second half explains what each secret actually changes.

All Ten Secrets at a Glance
| # | Secret | Scene | Trigger | Missable? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Somepony at the Window | Barn loft | Talk to Applejack at the loft window before the fire | Yes — gone once the fire starts |
| 2 | Angry Applejack | Barn fire | Throw water at Applejack instead of the flames | Yes — fire scene only |
| 3 | Somepony on the Train | Train | Interact with the marked window in the passenger car | Yes — the train leaves automatically |
| 4 | Not Fire! | Everfree | Use fire or a lantern on the vines instead of glowcaps | No — replayable |
| 5 | Spin Cycle | Sugarcube Corner | Interact with Gummy near the wall vent | Yes — before the party starts |
| 6 | Wrong Answer | Sugarcube Corner | Refuse the pinkie promise repeatedly | No — replayable |
| 7 | Broken Promise | Sugarcube Corner | Try to leave after taking the oath | No — but it costs progress |
| 8 | I Dare You | Sugarcube Corner | Poke Pinkie several times before the finale | Yes — finale only |
| 9 | Creature of Habit | Sugarcube Corner | Hide in the same closet on multiple searches | No — replayable |
| 10 | Say Cheese | Party room | Interact with the camera at the party table | Yes — position not documented |

The Missable Four
Most secrets can be picked up on a second run without effort. Four cannot, because the scene they live in does not come back.
Somepony at the Window is the barn loft. Before the lightning strike, climb to the loft and talk to Applejack at the window. She says something she does not repeat later, and the badge description — "You saw something you shouldn't have" — is the only hint the game gives. If you have already thrown a bucket of water, the loft is closed.
Angry Applejack is the opposite of helping: during the fire, aim the water at Applejack instead of the barn. The badge reads "Somepony had a bad day. You made it worse." This is a deliberate provocation, not an accident, and the game treats it as a joke rather than a failure.
Somepony on the Train needs you to walk the passenger car and interact with the window that has a mark on it. Nothing prompts you. The train departs on a timer once you sit, so check the car before you take a seat.
Spin Cycle is Gummy, Pinkie's pet alligator, near the wall vent in Sugarcube Corner. The game calls him the welcome committee and says he only gums ponies he likes, which is the setup for the interaction. Do it before the party begins; once the checklist is active, the scene moves on.
The Provocations
Three secrets exist purely to see whether you will misbehave.
Not Fire! is the game's best trap. You have just spent a scene putting out a fire, the forest is dark, and there is a lantern. Using it on the vines gets you the badge and a scolding: "She asked you not to."
Wrong Answer requires refusing the pinkie promise more than once. Pinkie repeats "Say it." and eventually "Wrong answer." The badge is not a fail state, and the promise still proceeds.
Broken Promise is the one that actually costs you something. After the oath, try to leave the building or break one of the four rules — leaving mid-party, entering her room without the key, touching the cake, or heading into the basement. The badge description, "You know what you did," is deliberately vague because the trigger set is broader than any single action. Expect to lose the current checklist progress.
The Patience Secrets
I Dare You is triggered by poking Pinkie before the finale. She warns you once — "Poke me one more time. I dare you." — and the badge lands on the next poke. It is only available in the final scene, so it is easy to miss if you rush the ending.
Creature of Habit rewards hiding in the same spot across multiple search cycles. The closet near the stairs is the usual choice because it is close to the checklist route.
Say Cheese is the only secret with no documented coordinates. The badge — "Lights.. Camera… ACTION!" — points at a camera interaction at the party table during the finale, but the exact table and the exact moment are still community-tested rather than confirmed. If you find it, the reliable approach is to walk the party room before sitting down and interact with everything on the table.
Why There Is No Hidden Ending
Chapter 1 ends the same way in every run: the promise, the final hide and seek, the seat, the toast, the cupcake, and the line "Now, you'll be at every party." There is no branch where you escape, no route where you save Pinkie, and no alternate final room.
What exists instead is a set of state badges:
- Found You! is being caught during hide and seek. It loops you back to the promise; it does not end the chapter.
- Kindling and Lost in the Everfree are deaths. They restart the scene.
- Broken Promise is a rule violation. It costs progress, not the ending.
Players label these "endings" because the badge art looks final and because the chapter is short enough that a death feels like a conclusion. Mechanically they are checkpoints. The endings guide breaks down each one, and the badge checklist shows the fastest order to collect all fifteen.
A Practical Route for Scrapbook Complete
- First run, clean: Somepony at the Window, Somepony on the Train, Spin Cycle, Say Cheese, and the normal ending. Do not provoke anything.
- Second run, chaos: Angry Applejack, Not Fire!, Wrong Answer, Broken Promise, I Dare You, Creature of Habit. Accept that this run will not finish cleanly.
- Third run, deaths: Kindling and Lost in the Everfree, then finish the chapter for Pinkie's Party, Out of the Fire, Out of the Woods, A Warm Welcome, Not Found and Found You!.
Three runs is the realistic minimum because Kindling and Out of the Fire are mutually exclusive, and a death run cannot also deliver a clean finale.
FAQ
Does Scrapbook Complete unlock anything? No gameplay reward is documented. It is a completion badge, and it is the rarest of the fifteen because it requires all ten secrets in one save.
Can I get secrets in a friend's session? The chapter is single-player narrative; the badge API tracks your own account, so progress does not transfer.
Is Gummy dangerous? No. He gums ponies he likes, which is the joke.
Will Chapter 2 wipe this progress? Unknown. Party Cannon Studios has not published save-migration details, and the community Chapter 2 date is unconfirmed. The Chapter 2 prep page tracks what is actually known.
