The Feed A Mosquito weapon ladder, what each base upgrade is actually for, PvP and Space Zone risks, and a build order that stops you rebuying the same tier.
Feed A Mosquito Base and Weapons: Build Order That Holds
Your base in Feed A Mosquito is not a cosmetic home. It is the machine that turns blood into cash, and every part of it — plots, seats, shop access, fences — is a throughput decision. Weapons are the other half: they decide which bosses you can reach, which decides which eggs you can get, which decides your income ceiling.
Most players upgrade in the order the shop presents, which is usually price order. That is why they stall. This page gives the build order that follows bottlenecks instead.

The base, part by part
| Part | Function | Upgrade effect | Priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plots | Hold eggs and hatched mosquitoes | More parallel income | Medium — only when full |
| Seats | Refill blood | Faster loop, less downtime | High |
| Shop | Weapons and upgrades | Access to the next tier | As needed |
| Fence | Base boundary | Space and protection (expanded in V3) | Low until PvP matters |
| Space Zone | V3 endgame area | New bosses and eggs | After the core loop is stable |
Plots: fill before you buy
An empty plot produces nothing. Buying capacity while your existing plots sit empty is the most common cash sink in the game. The rule is simple: every plot at 100% feed before you buy another plot.
Exceptions exist. If a limited event egg drops and you have nowhere to put it, buying a plot is correct. That is a timing decision, not a strategy.
Seats: the upgrade nobody notices
Seats are where blood comes back. Fan sites describe a chain that starts at a basic chair and improves through better furniture, with a bench tier reported around 40 health per second. Treat the exact number as community-reported; the direction is what matters.
Recovery compounds. Faster refill means more boss attempts, more feeds, and more cash per session without a single point of damage. If your session has visible waiting, the seat is the upgrade.
Fence and base size
Community sites report that V3 expanded the base fence; the official description does not mention it. A bigger base is not automatically better: it spreads your plots, seats, and shop further apart, which adds walking time to every loop. Build compact. Put the seat next to the plot next to the shop, and leave the far corners empty until you need them.
Space Zone
V3 added the Space Zone according to community reports. The official description does not mention it, and no verified drop table, boss list, or entry requirement has been published. Community discussion treats it as the post-core-game area.
What to do before you go:
- Core loop stable: fed mosquitoes on every plot.
- Recovery upgraded at least twice.
- A weapon that kills your current deepest boss without dying.
- Banked cash for one emergency upgrade.
Going to the Space Zone under-built wastes a trip and tells you nothing. Going with a measured baseline lets you tell whether the area is actually better per minute.
The weapon ladder
Community sources describe a progression that runs roughly:
| Tier | Weapon | How you get it | Job |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Hand | Start | Tutorial damage only |
| 2 | Shoe | Cash shop, cheap | First real damage |
| 3 | Broom | Cash shop | Reach and speed |
| 4 | Baseball bat | Cash shop | Better single-target |
| 5 | Frying pan | Cash shop | Mid-game baseline |
| 6 | Sword | Cash shop | Boss tier |
| 7 | Axe | Cash shop | Higher damage |
| 8 | Katana | Cash shop | Fast, high tier |
| 9 | Scythe | Cash shop | Late-game |
Roblox lists exactly two game passes for this experience (checked October 25, 2026): Double Income, which is currently not on sale, and Fast Pick, which is on sale. A "mosquito spray" appears in community weapon lists, but it is not in the official pass list, so treat it as unverified until you see it in your own shop.
| Pass | Status on Roblox | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Double Income | Listed, not currently for sale | Name suggests an income multiplier; effect undocumented |
| Fast Pick | On sale | Name suggests faster pickup; effect undocumented |
Two warnings about this table:
Names and order are community-reported. The ladder is consistent across sites, but the developer has not published an official weapon list with stats. Treat tier numbers as directional.
Prices are not published. Any site quoting exact costs for tier 6 and above is estimating. Verify in your own shop before saving for a tier.
Which weapon to buy
Buy for the boss in front of you, not the last tier in the list.
| Symptom | Buy |
|---|---|
| Boss dies but the fight takes minutes | Next damage tier |
| You die before the boss dies | Health or recovery first, then damage |
| You cannot reach the boss before it moves | Reach or speed |
| You clear fine but income is flat | Not a weapon problem — feed and plots |
| PvP players farm you | Base layout and health, not a bigger weapon |
The shop will happily sell you a weapon you do not need. The symptom table is the antidote.
Damage, speed, and health upgrades
These are separate from weapons and usually cheaper per point. Fan sites describe Damage and Speed upgrades added around V2.
| Upgrade | Best when | Bad when |
|---|---|---|
| Damage | Fights end too slowly | You die early in fights |
| Speed | Targets are weak and numerous | Bosses need burst |
| Health | One hit kills you | Fights are long but safe |
| Recovery | You wait at the seat | You never sit |
A balanced early build is one point of damage, one of recovery, one of health, then damage again. Specialize only after you know which boss is blocking you.
PvP: the part of the base you cannot buy your way out of
The PvP zone arrived in V2 per community sources. It changes base design in three ways:
Visibility is risk. A base full of high-tier mosquitoes is a target. If you are going AFK, consider whether your best units need to be visible.
Escape matters more than damage. A player who can leave a losing fight keeps their blood and their eggs. Build health and recovery before you build damage for PvP.
Do not PvP on an empty bar. You will lose to a player who arrived full. Refill first, then decide.
The official description's Halloween feature about hiding other players' mosquitoes suggests the developers are actively tuning visibility. Expect the PvP meta to shift on October 26.
Offline earnings: the base working while you sleep
Community reports say V3 added offline earnings; the official description does not mention it. The exact rate and cap are not published. Two rules follow:
- Log off with fed mosquitoes on every plot. An empty plot earns nothing offline.
- Collect before you upgrade. You want the offline total banked so a patch or a cap change does not eat it.
If your offline total looks wrong, record it for two nights before assuming a bug. Small samples and rounding produce a lot of false bug reports.
The base audit
Run this every few sessions. It takes two minutes.
| Check | Pass condition | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Every plot fed? | 100% on each | Feed the lowest first |
| Seat upgrade current? | No visible downtime | Buy the next seat |
| Shop tier relevant? | Next weapon kills the next boss | Buy by symptom |
| Fence too big? | Loop under ~15 seconds | Move things closer |
| Cash banked? | One upgrade's worth | Stop buying cosmetics |
| Eggs on the ground? | None | Hatch or stop farming |
| Offline set up? | Fed plots before logout | Feed, then log off |
Seven checks, most of them free.
Build order summary
First hour: shoe, first seat upgrade, one fed common, one plot.
First day: sword tier, recovery twice, all plots fed, first rare fed.
First week: axe or katana, capacity only when full, stable offline loop, first deep-boss farm.
After the core loop: Space Zone, Halloween limited units, PvP if you want it.
Never buy a tier because it is the next one in the list. Buy it because the content in front of you is blocked by the stat it provides.
FAQ
What is the best weapon in Feed A Mosquito?
The scythe is the top of the community-reported ladder. No official stat table exists, so "best" depends on the boss you are fighting.
Should I buy the Robux passes?
Only if you want to skip a specific grind or support the developer. Double Income is not currently on sale, and Fast Pick does not change the feed math. Neither replaces the cash-and-blood loop; they change how fast you reach bosses.
Is the base fence worth upgrading?
For space, not for defense. A bigger base adds walking time. Expand when plots genuinely do not fit, not before.
What is the Space Zone?
A V3 area described by community sites but not by the official description. Its bosses, drops, and requirements are undocumented. Treat it as endgame and bring a measured baseline.
Do weapons carry into PvP?
Weapons work in PvP according to community reports. Damage is not the whole fight — health and recovery decide whether you can leave.
How many players per server?
Seven, per the Roblox API and multiple fan sites. Small servers make reputation matter; you will see the same farmers again.
